Welcome to Original Skin

Hello. Just a few words of introduction from me, Cilla, owner of Original Skin, now in it’s 19th year. I began tattooing (I can’t believe it’s been this long) 24 years ago this September 2010!!!

I Started all tho se years ago in ’86 with ‘Goat’ as his apprentice at the newly opened Fine Line Tattoo in Hackney, East London. After 5 years there and a year or two at ‘Sterling Tattoo’ in Edmonton, North London, I finally took the step and despite being a parent of two boys, one with a severe disability, Original Skin opened as one of the few studios owned by a woman.

Here at Original Skin we may not be the most well-known, easiest to find studio, but we like to think we are one of the most friendly and easiest going studios around and give 100% most of the time!!! Original Skin was one of the first female owned studios in this country, which gives it its unique atmosphere.

Everyone is welcome, as long as you are over 18 and can prove it, not drunk, under the influence of drugs or ill! 

Original Skin is EHO registered and licensed as well as being members of the TPI (Tattoo and Piercing Industry Union).
